Delete your data

You can remove your data from your phone yourself in a minute, and you can ask us to delete anything we hold.

1. Remove data stored on your phone

CGCMate talks to the student portal from your phone, so most of your data lives only there. To remove it:

  1. Sign out inside CGCMate. This removes your saved login from the app.
  2. To remove everything the app saved, open Android Settings → Apps → CGCMate → Storage and tap Clear data.
  3. Or uninstall CGCMate. This deletes all of its data from your phone.

Menu names can differ a little between phone brands.

2. Ask us to delete data we hold

We may hold a small amount of information about you:

  • messages you sent through the contact form or by email;
  • Pro access records, such as the email or ID you gave us and your start and end dates.

To have it deleted, send us a request:

Please write from the email address you used with us, and tell us which app it is about. If you are not sure we can match the request to you, we may ask a question to confirm it is really you before we delete anything.

What happens next

  • We will confirm that we received your request.
  • We delete the data within 30 days, unless the law requires us to keep something, and we will tell you if so.
  • We confirm by email when it is done.

3. Data held by other companies

Some data is held by others and is outside our control:

  • The student portal. Your attendance and profile belong to the portal. Contact your institution to change or remove them.
  • Google. Google Play purchase records and ad data are managed by Google. You can manage them in your Google Account.

More about how we handle data is in our privacy policy.
